An origin defined by altitude, varieties, and traceability.

Ecuador produces a fraction of the world's coffee volume, but a disproportionate share of its cup character. Southern provinces like Loja and Zamora-Chinchipe combine Andean altitude, Amazon-influenced microclimates, and heirloom varieties you won't find anywhere else — Typica Mejorado and Sidra emerged here as distinctive cup profiles.

Cafesure is built around that origin advantage. We work in direct trade with high-altitude farming families, cup every lot at origin, and ship with farm-level traceability data that stands up to buyer and regulatory scrutiny. No importer markups. No anonymity. Just the lot, the estate, and the story behind it.

The result is a green coffee program that scales from a minimum order of 2 boxes (40 kg total, recommended to optimize logistics) for a small-batch roaster to recurring multi-box volumes for established programs — without losing the traceability, varietal specificity, or producer relationship that makes Ecuadorian coffee worth paying for.

Three flagship varieties that define the origin — plus a broader bank.

Typica Mejorado
Flagship · Heirloom

Typica Mejorado

Floral jasmine, stone fruit, syrupy body, prolonged aftertaste. The Ecuadorian heirloom that put Loja on the map. (Washed / Honey / Natural)

Sidra
Flagship · Cross

Sidra

Aromatic complexity, bright acidity, red fruit, clean cup. A versatile Bourbon × Typica cross — works as single origin or in blends. (Washed / Honey)

Gesha
Flagship · Landrace

Gesha

Bergamot, jasmine, tropical fruit, tea-like clarity, exceptional length. Altitude-driven, competition-grade. (Washed / Natural)

Caturra & Bourbon
Bulk · Blend-grade

Caturra & Bourbon

Clean, sweet, well-structured cups with regional brightness. Approachable price tier — ideal as standalone single origins or as blend components for bulk programs. (Washed / Honey / Natural)

Processing

Washed, Honey, or Natural — you decide.

Precision processing methods executed at origin under strict controls. Choose the profile that matches your roast objectives.

Washed

Clean, bright, acidity-forward. The regional standard for specialty grading. Long fermentation curves monitored to preserve cleanliness.

Honey

Mucilage-intact drying yields syrupy body, deep sweetness, and complex aromatic expansion. Sun-dried on raised African beds.

Natural

Whole cherry slow-dried on raised beds for explosive fruit intensity, winey complexity, and robust body. Curated temperature curves.

Traceability

Four checkpoints. Zero anonymity.

Every lot we export undergoes strict tracking from tree to transit, ensuring complete data transparency.

Farm & Producer

Each lot is linked to a named farm, producer, and altitude band — verified at harvest.

Wet Mill & Drying

Processing method, fermentation times, and drying curves are logged per lot.

Milling & Grading

Defect count, screen size, moisture, and cupping evaluation — all documented.

Green Coffee FAQs

What Specialty Buyers Ask Us.

01.What specialty green coffee varieties does Cafesure export from Ecuador?
Our flagship micro-lots are Typica Mejorado, Sidra, and Gesha — the varieties that put Loja on the specialty map. In addition to these, we also source Caturra, Bourbon, and other regional varieties for wholesale accounts, blend components, and accessible price points. All lots are direct-trade sourced from high-altitude farms between 1,600 and 2,100 masl, and are available in washed, honey, and natural processing methods.
02.Does Cafesure offer green coffee blends or only single-variety lots?
Both. We export single-variety, single-farm micro-lots (Typica Mejorado, Sidra, Gesha, Caturra, Bourbon) for buyers who want complete varietal clarity — and we create custom blends for wholesale and espresso programs where a target cup profile or price point requires combining varieties. Blends maintain traceability at the lot level.
03.How do I request a green coffee sample from Cafesure?
Request a sample lot via WhatsApp at +593 96 737 0614 or by email at hello@cafesureexport.com. We ship documented 300–350 g sample lots of each lot you are seriously considering, via DHL, FedEx, or UPS, so your QC team can roast test batches and cup them blind before committing.
04.What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for Cafesure specialty green coffee?
The MOQ scales with your operation. We ship 300–350 g samples for cupping. For commercial lots, the recommended minimum is 2 boxes (40 kg total). From there, realistic tiers are: a few boxes (40–120 kg) for evaluation; multiple boxes (100–300 kg) for seasonal offerings; pallet quantities (500–1,000 kg) for established roasting programs; and half or full container loads (5–19 metric tons) for importers.
05.How does Cafesure verify deforestation-free sourcing at origin?
We run a deforestation monitoring flow on our Propicon platform (currently in development), combining satellite imagery (Sentinel-2 and Landsat) with geolocated farm data. For every farm in our network, we collect a single GPS point (under 4 hectares) or a full polygon (4 hectares or more), and use satellite imagery to verify no land-use change after December 31, 2020.
06.What is the typical lead time for green coffee exports from Loja, Ecuador?
Air freight to North America and Europe typically clears in 5 to 10 business days from sample approval. Ocean freight takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the port. The main Ecuadorian harvest runs April to September, with peak export readiness between June and November.
